SportPet wanted to update their Harry Barker logo and redesign packaging into an eco friendly brand for consumers. I compared existing packaging (hangtags on the bottom left) with what’s on the market and collaborated with other designers to create the left.
Below are photographs of current dog and cat packaging.

SportPet wanted to update their Kitty City packaging into a more modern, fun, attractive, and intriguing look. I compared old packaging with current trends and created a bright, trendy look that would complement the logo. I also developed icons to ensure the vision is consistent from start to finish.

On the left is the current packaging compared to the old. Below is a photograph of the current packaging with a collection of icons used.

SportPet wanted to update their Chew King packaging to be fun and modern while maintaining the same hues. I researched baseball cards and colorful candy, junk food packaging to create an intricate design that leads the eye to the product and icons. To match the colorful and playfulness that was approved, I utilized a fun typography that is still used to this day.

To the left is a comparison of the new to the old version. Below are options I presented that were bright and colorful which led to a color decision.

SportPet wanted to enhance the celebratory packaging that Party City utilizes for seasonal collections. Taking inspiration from old packaging, I used the same colors in a brighter tone and turned the dots into confetti.

Party City also wanted a small hangtag on garments that will specify which product fits onto a cat. I wanted to create a cute, simple and professional tag that consumers would be able to gravitate towards while shopping.

Proposed Designs/COncepts

SportPet was offered a licensing deal with Disney and I had the pleasure designing a dog apparel hangtag for the Harry Barker and Disney Little Mermaid collaboration.

Not wanting to stray from the Harry Barker brand aesthetic I used the same colors while incorporating Little Mermaid graphics in muted or colored tones.

SportPet wanted to refresh their Wag-A-Tude brand so that packaging hangtags would stand out with a simple retro design which complements the logo.

Client wanted a Summer, Halloween, Fall packaging that would be suitable for seasonal items.

For Summer, I incorporated a sunset that would scream SUMMER(!) and used warm color tones to emphasize the heat. The font is suitable for the design and makes the packaging eye catching.

For Fall, I was inspired by leaves and warm hues from the Fall season so I created two hangtags that are modern and fun.

For Halloween, I took inspiration from 1980 film posters and added modern graphics to emphasis the horror theme. To enhance the hangtag, I added a grungy textured background to make the packaging pop.

Client wanted a pet apparel hangtag that would invoke a spring/summer asethic. Using inspiration from a researched mood board, I created fun, bold and simple designs to fit the criteria.
